Matthew Malcolm
With elements of grunge, fingerstyle, and good old fashioned rock, Matthew’s music is typified by gritty low chords, unusual vocal melodies, and clean fingerstyle breaks combined with powerful percussion and rhythmical grooves. Playing exclusively acoustic guitar in the last 6 years his original material has been influenced by John Martyn, Pearl Jam, Tommy Emmanuel and Jeff Buckley.
Gavin Ferris
“Gavin is as skilled a guitarist as I have ever seen. He plays with an intensity and passion that is genuinely startling. Live he worked his instrument like a man possessed and kept audiences rapt through every note he played. A huge talent.”
Ralph McLean BBC Radio Ulster
Originally an Irish traditional player, In 2007, after being inspired by other guitar players such as Antoine Dufour, Tommy Emmanuel, Thomas Leeb and more famously Andy McKee, Gavin adopted a more percussive style of playing incorporating other forms of music such as rock, metal, flamenco, jazz and blues while still trying to hold on to his traditional roots.
